Formed in 1941 the Metro-Claremont Soccer Club currently fields 4 mens senior teams, two womens teams, and teams in under 7 to under 16 leagues.

NEW PLAYERS ALWAYS WELCOME

We are a community-based club, located in Hobart�s northern suburbs. We have one of the largest memberships of any sporting club in the State, with currently 280 active members, including a large number of junior members. We field both men�s and women�s teams in the top competitions in Southern Tasmania and have a significant number of non-member supporters, mainly parents of junior players. All up, we estimate that around 600 people have some form of regular involvement with the club.

Metro has been a successful club since its formation in 1941. We have excellent facilities, including bar and function rooms that are available for use by members and for hire by the community. Over $100,000 has been spent in recent years on the development of Metro�s home ground at North Chigwell to attract more players and supporters. Plans have recently been lodged with council for the erection of a grandstand.

We have close ties with a number of other clubs in the Claremont area, including hosting regular Monday night 8-ball competitions, and Wednesday night Darts.
